Barasat: The North 24 -Parganas police arrested two youths in connection with the murder of a Trinamool Congress ChhatraParishad activist ShoumoBiswas. Biswas was found dead on July 29 in Bongaon.
The two - Shayan Dutta Roy and Himnagshu Bairagi - were picked up during a late Saturday night raid at New Market. The duo was later arrested.
Biswas, who was a former office bearer of TMCP student body
in Dinabandhu College Bongaon, was found dead on July 29 when the panchayat election results were announced.

His body was found with a battered head in Bongoan's Railway Colony, where he lived. Since then, police have been on the hunt for those involved in the murder. The two accused were produced in the Bongaon court on Sunday and remanded in police custody for 10 days.
"They are being interrogated and we expect to gather useful information in due course of time," said police.
