125 acres of seafront for port devpt

Kolkata: The Adani development in Tajpur comes close on the heels of last week’s Supreme Court breather for Adani Ports and Special Economic Zones (APSEZ), when it allowed it to participate in tenders floated by “public bodies”.
Before that, APSEZ had been facing multiple disqualifications from state-owned port projects. APSEZ will be given 125 acres of seafront to develop the port and another 1,000 acres 4km away for port-linked industrial development.There would be no need for any land acquisition, said sources.
