Traders protest against GST Bill

A protest march was taken out by traders against GST bill by Akhil Bhartiya Udyog Vyapaar Mandal.They burnt the effigy of the Central government at Ghantaghar Chauraha.

In an indication of the changing political equations in the state, AIADMK has vowed to oppose finance minister Arun Jaitley's attempts to do away multitude of central taxes by bringing in the GST regime.
KANPUR: A protest march was taken out by traders against GST bill by Akhil Bhartiya Udyog Vyapaar Mandal. They burnt the effigy of the Central government at Ghantaghar Chauraha.
Members of the Vyapar Mandal said that there are many loopholes in the present GST format and it should be amended by the Central government. "We do not want government to scrap it but there are many clauses which should be removed," the traders said.
The traders raised slogans against the Centre and vowed to fight against the present format of GST.
