They would now launch it from Tuesday.
The agitating advocates would sit on 'dharna' at Kanpur Bar Association (KBA) hall from 10 am and in lunch session, first batch of 51 advocates would go for court arrest at district magistrate or additional district magistrate's office to lodge their protest against the working of police, said Sarvesh Kumar Singh Kushwaha, KBA general secretary.
Prashant was shot dead near a management school by unidentified persons on the evening of April 23 after a dispute.
The two premier associations -- Kanpur Bar Association and The Lawyers Association -- on Monday postponed their dharna and court arrest movement due to death of an advocate, Habibur Rehman Siddiqui.
According to Anoop Kumar Dwivedi, a delegation of advocates met SSP Kanpur Nagar and repeated the demand that fifth and last accused be arrested. It is understood that investigating cops had apprised the delegation that there was no evidence against the fifth accused, a journalist.
Meanwhile, undertrials were brought from jail and sent back after getting dates in their cases. The litigants also returned back after getting dates fixed for hearing of their cases.
There were rumours that the fifth accused had been nabbed by the city police.
