Contractor accuses Ghaziabad couple of fake order, 15 lakh fraud
A contractor, a resident of Railbazar, filed a report at Railbazar police station, alleging fraud and forgery against a couple from Ghaziabad for duping him of Rs 15 lakh by issuing fake work contract for a water tank construction in Mathura.The report filed by contractor Moazzam Khan stated that he met Ajay Raghav and his wife Neetu from Ghaziabad one-and-a-half years ago regarding concrete work in partnership at two railway stations through their firm. They assured him that they would soon get him a contract to build a water tank in Mathura. The couple allegedly took Rs 1 lakh from him in lieu of the contract. A work order in the firm's name was also sent to him on WhatsApp. However, he got no response after he sent the bills after getting the work done. After waiting for his payment for long he reached the company office where he found that the work order was fake.

Railbazar police station in-charge Jitendra Pratap Singh said that a report was registered and the allegations were being investigated. tnn
