KANPUR: The health department had decided to administer free anti-measles vaccine at private clinics also in order to cover maximum children. The drive will be supported by Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Indian Paediatrics Association (IAP).
"Apart from the government hospitals and health centres, the anti-measles vaccine will also be available free at various private clinics.

The vaccine will be given to children from 9 months to 10 years from February 1 to 22," chief medical officer RP Yadav said.
The drive will also be carried out at various government schools.
In the first week, schoolchildren would be targeted. In the second and third weeks, non-schoolchildren would be vaccinated through community-based programs. The last week will be dedicated to the kids who are left out.
A task force would also be set up for the purpose.
