: The city reeled under scorching heat on Saturday with humidity adding to the woes. The maximum temperature recorded for the day was 33.6 degrees and minimum stood at 22.5 degrees celsius. The humidity was 97%. Weatherman said that the city experienced 25mm
on Friday.Meteorologist at CSA, CB Singh said that chances of scattered rains still existed owing to moisture-laden winds.
The weather is expected to remain cloudy on Sunday. "Heavy rains may not occur and mercury level too would not rise further," added CB Singh.
The effect of the scorching heat was evident in the city. The roads wore a deserted look. Only those having urgent work, stepped out of homes in the afternoon.
