UDAIPUR: A police team is expected to leave for Mumbai soon to interrogate Suniel Shetty after a fraud complaint of fraud was filed against the actor was filed by a local film producer Hemendra Singh Solanki. Shetty has reportedly signed for Solanki's upcoming film 'Mumbai Kiski Hai'.

"Prima facie the charge seems genuine, however; before we interrogate Shetty, we have to get some more evidence and record statements of the stakeholders involved,' said Hiranmagri police station SHO Verdichand. The police have dispatched a summon to Babu Bhatt, the film director who is expected to arrive here in a day or two from Aurangabad.
Solanki in his complaint had held that the production work which was scheduled to start in August 2013 was delayed for 8 months due to Shetty's "reckless" attitude incurring a heavy loss for him. Even after receiving the advance payment, Shetty had neither signed the agreement nor was willing to give dates for the shooting.
"The script was ready; the cast, production team and shooting locations had been finalized, songs recording had been done and it was only because of Shetty that we couldn't proceed with the shooting," Solanki said while speaking to TOI.
The producer informed that the small budget film had 19-year-old Cynthia Vimal, a Fiji born girl, to play the lead role while Babu Bhatt is the director. Shetty treated us like puppets and interfered in almost all aspects of the movie making, Solanki claimed. The actor demanded change of songs and even the star cast, messed up with many members of the units, he claimed.
Even after rearranging things as per his desire, Shetty seemed unsatisfied and he continued with his "bullying" which irritated the team.
Finally when things turned sour, the producer asked Shetty to return the advance amount upon which the latter allegedly threatened him with dire consequences. "I have suffered huge losses already due to the delay since all the team members had been paid advance money. Further, I still wish to make the movie but Shetty will not be in it. I want my money back with interest and also compensation for the damage done," Solanki added.
