Rajasthan hosts its first-ever Major Esports LAN Championship as Krafton India Brings Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2026 Grand Finals with Rs 4 crore prize pool to Jaipur
Jaipur: In a landmark moment for Indian esports, Jaipur is set to become the first city in Rajasthan to host a major national esports LAN championship as Krafton India brings the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2026 Grand Finals to the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC) from June 19 to 21.
The three-day championship will see India’s top 16 BGMI teams compete for a share of the Rs 4 crore prize pool and the opportunity to represent India on the global stage, making it one of the highest-stakes esports tournaments ever held in the country.
The event marks a significant milestone not only for Rajasthan’s growing gaming community but also for the rapid evolution of esports as a mainstream competitive sport in India.
Over the last few years, esports has transformed from a niche digital pastime into one of the country’s fastest-growing entertainment and sporting ecosystems, attracting millions of players, viewers, and aspiring professional athletes.
With a rapidly expanding base of mobile gamers, increasing digital adoption, and a young, digitally native population, Rajasthan has emerged as an important contributor to India’s gaming growth story. Hosting BMPS 2026 reinforces Jaipur’s position as a destination for large-scale gaming and esports events, while also spotlighting talent from Rajasthan, such as Divay Pratap Singh (WWxVeyron) of White Walkers and Ashutosh Singh (TRxPunkk) of True Rippers, who are currently competing in the Semi Finals, and Arman (iQOOxOGAaru) of iQOO Orangutan, who has already secured a place in the Grand Finals. Arman is among India’s most accomplished BGMI athletes, having led his team to the BMSD 2025 championship and represented India at the Global Championship 2025.
As the creator and publisher of BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI), KRAFTON India has played a pivotal role in shaping India’s esports ecosystem through marquee tournaments such as BMPS and BGIS, creating structured competitive pathways for players and enabling Indian talent to compete at the highest levels of the sport. The Grand Finals will feature 16 teams competing across 18 matches over three days, with six matches played each day.
Eight teams have already secured their places in the Grand Finals after advancing through the qualifiers:
1. GodLike Esports
2. iQOO 8Bit
3. iQOO Soul
4. Vasista Esports
5. Divine Gaming
6. iQOO Orangutan
7. Victores Sumus
8. 7Gods Esports
The remaining eight spots will be determined through the ongoing Semi Finals (June 9–12), with the last chance stage (June 13–14) offering a final opportunity for teams to secure their place at the Grand Finals.
Commenting on the announcement, Karan Pathak, Associate Director – Esports, KRAFTON India, said: “India’s esports ecosystem has evolved at a pace that few could have anticipated, and BMPS has been central to that journey. The Grand Finals in Jaipur will bring together the finest BGMI squads in the country, competing not just for a national title but for the opportunity to represent India on one of the biggest stages in global esports. Jaipur’s world-class event infrastructure, passionate youth audience, and growing gaming community made it a natural choice to host the biggest BGMI event of the year. We are excited to bring the BMPS Grand Finals to the city and look forward to an incredible showcase of talent and competition.”
Adding further significance to the competition, BMPS 2026 serves as a key qualification pathway to the Esports World Cup 2026, set to take place in Paris, France, from July 6 to August 23. The BMPS 2026 champion will secure a direct qualification slot, while an additional slot will be determined through the KRAFTON India Esports (KIE) Rankings. This makes BMPS 2026 one of the most consequential editions of the tournament to date, with India’s best teams competing for the opportunity to represent the country on the global stage.
