Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra walked 15km in his constituency to meet people and redress their grievances.
On December 20, last day of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in
Rajasthan, PCC chief announced that it will be mandatory for all in the Congress state unit, including ministers, MLAs and office-bearers, to walk 15 kilometre once a month to connect with the people.
This was urged by senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during the yatra. Following this, Dostara, on Sunday became the first Congress leader in Rajasthan who started his journey around 9am from Dehar ka Baas panchayat.
During the public meeting, Dotasra apprised about the schemes which are launched to benefit the public. In Ganedi region, he also spelled out the development works of Rs 11.41 crore carried out during his tenure.
He said, “There is no anti-incumbency after four years this time and Congress will repeat the tenure and make new history.” Dotasra yatra has also sent a message to the senior Congress leaders who are remaining absent from party programmes. Two days ago, Congress state in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa had issued notices to ministers for not attending the meeting regarding the Haath Se Haath Jodo drive.
