Nephew hacks woman to death in Alwar dist

ALWAR: A 40-year-old woman, Kesanti Devi, was killed by her nephew in an area under Kathumar police station in Alwar district. The accused, Chandra Prakash (31), allegedly committed the murder using a knife. The motive behind this act seems to be linked to alleged illicit relations between the deceased and her neighbour, Sunil Yadav.
In the midst of his anger, Chandra Prakash also attacked Sunil Yadav with a knife.

Despite sustaining injuries, Sunil, a resident of the same locality, managed to escape from the scene and is currently under medical treatment at a hospital. Local authorities have taken the accused into custody and are interrogating him. The husband of the deceased woman works as a labourer in Gurgaon. Family members and numerous villagers were also present at Kathumar CHC. Kathumar police station in-charge, Surendra Kumar Sharma, said the husband of the deceased, Ghanshyam, has officially registered a case at the Kathumar police station.
Additional superintendent of police in Alwar, Suresh Khegi, confirmed that the woman lost her life as a result of the stabbing, and police are investigating the case, with the accused now in custody.
