Itanagar: Governor Lt Gen (retd) KT Parnaik inaugurated the 6th edition of Arunachal Literature Festival at Dorjee Khandu Convention Centre here on Wednesday.
Addressing the inaugural session of the three-day event, Parnaik said literature has the power to transform lives, amplify unheard voices and provide fresh perspectives. Literary festivals promote cultural exchange, spark creativity and inspire a love for reading and learning, he added.
Parnaik said such festivals provide a platform to local authors and poets and praised the dept of information & public relations and the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society for organising the event every year.
“It opens the door to a plethora of information, expressions, sentiments, articulations and perceptions in various genres of literature from drama to fiction, non-fiction, prose and poetry. It shapes young minds and moulds our opinion,” Parnaik said.
