Trial court holds committal hearing in honeytrap case
INDORE: A trial court on Tuesday heard the high profile honeytrap case for committal of charges and sent it to sessions court for framing of charges.
The court of judicial magistrate first class Arvind Gurjar heard the case for committal. The committal hearing took place around two months after police put up challan against accused on December 16.
Police in chargesheet before court made Aarti Dayal, 29, Monica Yadav, 19, Shweta Vijay Jain, 38, Shweta Swapnil Jain, 35, Barkha Soni, 35, Om Prakash, 45, and Rupa Ahirwar and Abhishek Thakur accused in extortion, human trafficking, fraud, conspiracy, filming obscene videos and violating privacy of individuals under relevant section of IPC.

The police arrested Aarti Dayal, Monica Yadav and driver Omprakash from Vijay Nagar on September 17 last year. Driver Omprakash moved high court demanding bail in the case against an order of session court of ADJ Vivek Saxena. The court of Justice Virendra Singh on Tuesday granted time to state government and asked to list the matter on February 26.
