Protest against killing of delivery man from Bihar in Imphal East

Imphal: A large number of migrants on Saturday carried out demonstration at Telipati in Imphal East district against the killing of a delivery man from Bihar by miscreants on Friday afternoon.
The protesters, mostly from Bihar, held placards which carried several messages including, “We want justice”, “Stop targeting minorities”, and “Justice for my Papa” displayed by a daughter of the deceased.
Shailendra Saha (32) from Bihar’s Buxar district, a temporary resident of Ragailong area in Imphal, was shot dead by unknown miscreants at Uchol Chingjin in Imphal East district while he was returning home in his moped after delivering bakery and grocery items at nearby Andro.
On June 23, a construction worker was shot dead and another injured in Kakching district and, a week ago, a trader was gunned down at his shop at Churachandpur district headquarters. tnn
