4 govt employees suspended for dereliction of poll duty

Imphal: Imphal West district electoral officer/deputy commissioner Th Kirankumar has suspended four government employees of different departments for dereliction of poll duty for the ensuing Manipur assembly elections.
The four have been charged with not attending a poll-related training programme held on Sunday in Imphal and not turning up on Monday for paying house-to-house visit of absentee voters.The suspended employees include Yumlembam Sukumar Singh, Md Sirajuddin, Konsam Sobhachandra Singh, and H Nabakumar Singh. tnn
