Woman run over by lorry

HYDERABAD: A woman who was travelling on a two-wheeler along with her husband and son was run over by a lorry near Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad on Thursday. Police said A Suguna, 30, died on the spot while her husband A Govardhan Reddy and their son Raghu escaped with minor injuries. They were on their way to their native place Saigonibavi in Nalgonda district. When a dog suddenly jumped in front of the two-wheeler, Govardhan Reddy swerved the vehicle to one side, but they all fell down.
While Govardhan Reddy and his son fell on one side, Suguna fell on the other side right in front of a lorry coming from behind. tnnThe victim died on the spot while the driver of the lorry with Maharashtra registration number (MH 25B 7800) abandoned the vehicle and fled. A case was registered under section 304-A (Causing death by rash or negligent act) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
