Telangana to popularise Mallesham's Aasu looms

HYDERABAD: The state government will extend all possible help to Chintakindi Mallesham, the well-known weaver from the state and this year's Padmasri award recipient. After honouring Mallesham who called on the minister on Friday, Rama Rao said the government will cooperate with Mallesam to popularise the Aasu looms designed by Mallesam.
The minister said it was not only important to recognize innovation in the rural sector but also encourage innovations .The state is already active in both encouraging rural and social innovations. Incubators for rural innovations are being set up in Nizamabad, Warangal and Nalgonda.
