Telangana assembly elections 2018: Liquor shops closed from December 5 to 7

HYDERABAD: All wine shops, bars, restaurants, pubs and military canteens selling liquor will be closed for 48 hours in the city and rest of Telangana ahead of assembly polls on December 7. "These shops will be closed from December 5 (6pm ) to December 7 (6pm)," read a statement issued by the district election authority of Hyderabad.
Liquor shops in other states, within 5 km of Telangana border, will also be closed."Registered clubs and restaurants should also not serve liquor for 48 hours ahead of the polls," said Hyderabad District Election Officer M Dana Kishore, adding that more than four people are not allowed to assemble near polling stations. tnn
