Telangana students studying in violence-hit
Manipur who were expected to reach Hyderabad on Sunday, are now expected the city on Monday due to some delay.
Instead of just relying on special flights, the state is also looking at commercial flights to bring back students and other people.
“We are trying all means — both commercial and special flights, and will consider whatever works out to bring our students and workers back to Hyderabad from Manipur,” said Anjani Kumar, director general of police.
He also confirmed that no flight with Telangana students took off from Manipur on Sunday.
The state government opened a special cell on Saturday to monitor the situation in Manipur and announced that it is taking measures, including operating special flights, to ensure the safety of students and people from Telangana.
