Minor girl raped in Warangal

WARANGAL: A 12-year-old girl was repeatedly molested allegedly by a 60-year-old religious leader at Fort Warangal. The incident came to light on Sunday. The minor girl was abducted by the accused, M Sarwar, the imam at a local mosque. He raped the girl repeatedly, police said.
On coming to know of it, the girl's kin attempted to beat up the accused.Enraged locals also joined them but the accused escaped. The girl's grandfather lodged a complaint with the police. Local police inspector G Krishna said the search is on for the accused and a case has been registered under the Nirbhaya Act.
