Jagan, Penna Pratap Reddy appear in court

HYDERABAD: YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Penna industrial group chairman P Pratap Reddy and others, who were listed as accused in the Penna Cements episode of the Jagan assets case, appeared in the CBI court on Monday. They furnished the required sureties before special judge M V Ramesh, who examined them and later accepted them. Jagan's auditor V Vijay Sai Reddy too appeared in the court. CBI had also listed Pratap Reddy's other firms - Pioneer holiday resorts, P R Energy holdings Ltd, Penna Tandur Cement company Ltd - as accused. Pratap Reddy was shown as the authorized representative of all these firms.The judge posted further hearing of the case to December 3. According to CBI, Pratap Reddy invested Rs 68 crore in Jagan's firms in lieu of the benefits he received from the YSR regime in the form of limestone mines, land allotments and several concessions.
