HYDERABAD: The first Asian Children''s Film Festival 2002, will be organised by the AP Children''s Film Society in Hyderabad from November 14 to 21.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, society chairman M Veda Kumar said the festival was being organised to expose children and students to children''s films produced in various Asian countries.
Open forums and symposiums would be conducted as part of the festival at venues like Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) seminar hall, Telugu University auditorium, Sarathi Studios besides at the main venue, the Hari Hara Kala Bhavan.

Veda Kumar said that an Israeli film and two English films -- The Gift and Silent Situp - produced by two children from Andhra Pradesh would be screened on the inaugural day.
He added that over 110 films would be screened at the festival.
The society is expecting 40 more entries for the festival.
Veda Kumar said nearly two lakh children and students would watch the films to be screened at 41 theatres located in the twin cities of Hyderabad and secunderabad and Rangareddy district.
The festival would be inaugurated by home, film and cinematography minister T Devender Goud on November 14 at the Hari Hara Kala Bhavan at 10 am.
Cultural Council of Iran chairman Isa Rajan, MP D Rama Naidu, film stars Murali Mohan, Laya and some child actors would participate at the inaugural function.
Film makers from Karnataka, Kolkata and Tamil Nadu would also attend the festival.
