HYDERABAD: Health and finance minister T Harish Rao on Sunday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the latter's claim that the Telangana government is not cooperating with the centre for development of the state.
The minister said that in fact it is the Modi-led government which has stopped setting up of rail coach factory in Warangal, a steel plant in Bayyaram and held back release of 30,000 crore to Telangana, insisting that meters should be installed to agricultural pump sets.

"It is the BJP which is blocking the development of Telangana," he said.
BRS parliamentary party leader K Keshava Rao and deputy leader KR Suresh Reddy said that PM Modi tried to mislead the people of Telangana with baseless allegations and demanded that the Modi government make public whatever support it has extended to Telangana.
"How can PM Modi say that development has taken a backseat in Telangana when the fact is that the state is surging ahead in all fields and securing top ranks in all the sectors? No other state in the country can match Telangana in terms of its progress, welfare and development achieved in the last nine years," said Keshava Rao.
The BRS MPs sought to ask PM Modi as to what has been the contribution of the BJP government to the Kaleshwaram project.
The BRS government completed the lift irrigation project, one of the largest irrigation projects in the world, in four years without any financial support from Centre, they said.
Suresh Reddy demanded that PM Modi should also make public about Telangana's tax revenue share to the central government and how much is being given back to the state.
They accused the PM of turning a government programme into a BJP party programme by making baseless allegations against the state government with an intention to mislead the people of Telangana.
