Hyderabad: Days after a baby died at Kummera Jatara in Nagarkurnool district after her family was allegedly attacked by a group of upper-caste men, police said there were no signs of injury, internal or external, according to the post-mortem report.
Police also said that samples had been sent to the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (RFSL) in Bhoothpur for a final report.

Nagarkurnool police revealed the infant's medical history, stating that she was a premature baby weighing 1.44 kg, born on Dec 21, 2025. "She was treated at Nilofer Hospital in Hyderabad for 30 days for conditions including respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal hyperbilirubinemia and late-onset neonatal sepsis (Klebsiella pneumoniae)," police added.
