HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad police on Saturday rescued two-year-old Seetha Ramaraju, who was kidnapped on Thursday night for ransom, from an isolated house near Gandimaisamma crossroads and arrested three persons, including the boy's maternal uncle, on Saturday.
According to police, the boy's uncle (mother's brother) A Venkata Srikanth, 31, and his associates D Venkata Sathya Santha Kumara Raju, 20 and M Rajesh, 19 were arrested for the kidnapping.
Police stumbled on clues after quizzing the family members, specially Srikant. When they grilled him, he admitted to the kidnapping and revealed the hideout at Bahadurpally near Gandimaisamma crossroads where the child was being held.
A case was booked under sections 363, 364(A), 506, 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC)d against the trio.
