A two day training programme on sensitization and awareness on human rights, organized by the Mysore Administrative Training Institute, in association with District Training Centre, for the benefit of the officers of Davanagere district was concluded on Friday at the ZP office.

DAVANAGERE: A two day training programme on sensitization and awareness on human rights, organized by the Mysore Administrative Training Institute, in association with District Training Centre, for the benefit of the officers of Davanagere district was concluded on Friday at the ZP office.
More than one hundred officers hailing from all the six taluks of Davanagere district underwent the training.

Mysore Administrative Training Institute faculties K M Prasad, K S Suresh, District Training Centre principal Mahantheshaiah and his deputy Darukesh delivered special lectures on human rights and their violation. Deputy commissioner S S Pattana Shetty, who inaugurated the event stressed the officers to take steps to prevent child labour and exploitation of women.
Boy jumps off moving bus, diesBijapur: An 18-year-old boy died on Friday after he jumped off a moving bus. The deceased has been identified as Siddaramaiah Girimalaiah Sikkilvadimath(18) of Kuntoji village, studying PUC at Muddebihal town. While returning home from college, he caught the wrong bus. On realising his mistake, he jumped off the moving bus, sustained head injuries and died on the spot. Muddebihal police have booked a complaint in this regard.
