BJP wants to topple govt, says Digvijaya

HUBBALLI: Senior Congress functionary and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday claimed BJP “wants to topple the Karnataka government with 40% commission money it earned when it was at the helm in the state” but is finding it “impossible”.
Speaking to reporters after participating in the flag hoisting ceremony at the Congress party office, he said Congress will complete its five-year term.
“BJP has still not learnt anything despite being comprehensively rejected by the people of Karnataka in the assembly elections,” he said. “People of Karnataka defeated the corrupt BJP and sent out a message to the country. Congress says every citizen of the country is one. But BJP is sowing seeds of poison on religion and is working to divide the country. BJP is always ahead in violating the Constitution.”
On the issue of graft, he said the Karnataka government is clean, but added: “I can tell you that there is 50% commission in Madhya Pradesh.”
On the Manipur violence, he said the chief minister of Manipur is directly responsible. “Poison of caste and religion were sown, and riots instigated. Ordinary people suffered death and pain. This is very unfortunate.”
