Science award for Tezpur University professor

GUWAHATI: A senior faculty member of Tezpur University has won the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Teacher's Award, 2018.
Ashis K Mukherjee, dean of research and development at the university, has won the prestigious award for his consistent and high level of teaching, and inspiring and mentoring students to take up careers in science and technology.
The award, founded by INSA, New Delhi, is one of the highest recognitions for science and technology teachers in the country. Mukherjee will be formally awarded in the anniversary general meeting of the academy in December.
