Aizawl: BJP Mizoram unit on Saturday said the Centre has accorded approval of Rs 60 crore specifically for development projects in southern Mizoram's Siaha district and expressed appreciation to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi govt.
A leader of the state BJP unit said the Centre is generous towards Siaha district as the people elected two legislators K Beichhua and K Hrahmo belonging to BJP in the 2023 assembly polls in two seats, Saiha and Palak, respectively.
The approved projects are — Construction of Maraland Centenary Hospital, Multipurpose Youth Centre, Mara Tribal Girls Hostel at Zotlang, Aizawl, School Buildings under Mara Autonomous District Council, Cold Storage and Spice Grinding Unit for MADC and a multipurpose hall at Tipa.
"This has clearly shown that development of the entire state in a big way can be achieved if the people of Mizoram vote BJP to power in the next assembly elections to be held in 2028," the leader said.
