GURGAON: With an objective to increase enrolment of students in government schools, the state council of educational research and training (SCERT) and the directorate of school education have rolled out a dedicated, two-month-long campaign.
The SCERT’s special drive will not only increase the overall enrolment count but also will identify school dropouts and bring back them into formal education.
Called Aao School Chalein (come let’s go to school), the programme aims at implementing the state government’s ‘zero dropout policy’ to ensure that no child in the state remains out of school by next year.
Schools have been directed to chalk out comprehensive micro-improvement strategies to convince the parents in their respective areas to enrol their children with the government schools. The SCERT will also be monitoring the campaign and reports will be compiled on a daily basis.
