While the number of buses will be doubled, the number of drivers and conductors will also go up. Haryana Roadways GM Yashendra Singh said, "The department has plans to cover every major road of the city."
Around 60 buses are plying on the city roads at present and their number is expected to double. A new bus stand is coming up on Sohna Road. The department has already acquired land for a new bus stand near Rajiv Chowk, Singh added.
Saurabh Garg, who works in an MNC here, and is a daily commuter, said, "I take a bus daily to go to DLF Phase V in the evening. I find the service good except that the waiting time at present (15 to 20 minutes) must be reduced."
However, both commuters and drivers complain about the absence of enough bus shelters. There are plans to construct bus shelters at various locations across the city. As many as 112 bus shelters will come up at the several bus stops identified on seven routes. The shelters will%also have time table of buses displayed.
