Dabolim resident duped of Rs 53 lakh by MP native in property deal

Vasco: A Dabolim resident was allegedly duped of Rs 53 lakh on the pretext of being sold a residential plot in the area.Vasco police said the complaint was lodged by Satyawan Sharma against Kamal Singh Kouraw, a native of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.According to police, Kouraw allegedly posed as the owner and authorised seller of a residential plot in Dabolim and induced Sharma to pay Rs 53 lakh by falsely promising to sell the property.Police said Sharma paid Rs 46 lakh through bank transactions and Rs 7 lakh in cash between Aug 2022 and the present. However, the accused neither handed over the plot nor returned the money.Police sub-inspector Plato Carvalho is investigating the case.
