Transferred officials still to vacate government homes may face action
GHAZIABAD: Government officials, who have been transferred out of the district but are still occupying government offices, will soon face action. District magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey has directed additional district magistrate (city) Shailendra Kumar Singh to identify such officials and submit a report in the matter.
DM Pandey said that after posting in the district, government accommodations are allotted to officials.

After the transfer, they are supposed to vacate the residences. However, some officials have not vacated the government accommodations yet.
The ADM, under the prescribed format, will submit the details like the posting date, accommodation allocation date, date of transfer, besides the details of action taken after the expiry of authorisation period of holding the residence. The ADM will also have to mention the panel rent against the unauthorised occupant.
Pandey made it clear that once the report is submitted, action against such officers will be taken and the government houses will be evacuated. Besides, the ADM has been asked to take suo moto cognizance and review such cases himself and determine the action.
