NEW DELHI: The Delhi police arrested three persons and seized literature worth Rs three crore in a raid in northwest Delhi on Tuesday.
The raid was conducted by the economic offences wing (EOW) of the crime branch which claimed that a total of 70,000 pirated books, valued at Rs 3 crore were recovered when an EOW team raided a godown in the Keshavpuram area, deputy commissioner of police (EOW), Dinesh Bhatt, said.
The seized books include fiction, non-fiction, technical books and dictionaries. It included best-sellers like Harry Potter and books by Sidney Sheldon, Arindam Chaudhary and Shiv Khera.
