Delhi: Man chased, stabbed and shot by four

NEW DELHI: A man was chased, stabbed and then shot by a group of youths in Tigri early on Thursday. Police said that the man allegedly had an argument with one of the youths on Wednesday. He had allegedly hurled abuses at him and the youth had threatened to teach him a lesson for it.
Police said that the man, Rohit, used to stay at a JJ colony near Tigri and had been recently released from jail for assault.Locals claimed that both the main accused and the deceased were local thugs and had threatened each other on Wednesday.
Rohit was returning home from his job around midnight when four men including the prime accused chased after him and stabbed him several times. When he fell down, they shot him.
Rohit’s family reached the scene on hearing the gunshots and took him to a hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
