Gang of burglars busted, goods worth Rs15L recovered

NEW DELHI: A burglar, who allegedly used to burgle houses after consuming ecstasy tablets, was arrested along with his two associates from Daryaganj on Monday. With these arrests, police claimed to have solved 17 burglaries committed since May 2010.
Cops have recovered valuables worth approximately Rs 15 lakh — 2kg silver, 3.5kg artificial jewellery, 450gm gold, three bronze idols, one mobile phone, three watches and two cameras — and a motorcycle from the accused.The accused have been identified as Mohammad Furkan (29), Naved Alam (32) and Mazhar (30).
