Pollachi sexual assault: Lawyers demand suspension of Coimbatore SP

TIRUPUR: Advocates practising in trial courts in Tirupur on Monday staged a protest demanding suspension of Coimbatore superintendent of police R Pandiarajan as he is responsible for what they called biased investigations into the Pollachi sexual scandal cases.
More than 200 advocates gathered in the Court Street and raised slogans against the accused in the sexual scandal.
The protesters demanded suspension of the SP and conduct of impartial investigations into the case. They demanded that all the accused be arrested and the victims be given rightful compensation.
