Joint commissioners, deputy commissioners shifted as per SC order

CHENNAI: Hours after the Supreme Court's directive to transfer two joint commissioners and three deputy commissioners in connection with the February 19 violence in in the Madras high court premises, the state government on Thursday shifted the officials concerned out of the city.
JC central, Sandeep Rai Rathore, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Madurai range, while his counterpart in the north, M Ramasubramani, who was put on compulsory wait, was posted as DIG, Coimbatore range.
VA Ravikumar will be the new JC central. DIG administration M Ravi has already been posted as JC north.
DC of Kilpauk MC Sarangan has been transferred as SP, Tiruvallur in the place of M Pandian, who will move to Kilpauk. Likewise, Flower Bazaar DC Prem Anand Sinha has been transferred as SP, Kancheepuram in the place of K Periaiah, who will replace Sinha as Flower Bazaar DC.
Pulianthope DC Pannerselvam, whose transfer was also sought by the SC, has already been shifted out of the city and posted as SP of Tiruvannamalai district.
