Cyclone Michaung: CM Stalin deploys more ministers for rescue and relief operations

CHENNAI: Chief minister M K Stalin has intensified flood rescue and relief operations in Chennai by deploying additional ministers to oversee specific areas. The assignments are as follows:* Minister S Regupathy: In charge of K K Nagar and MGR Nagar* Minister C V Meyyanathan: Responsible for Semmanchery and Perumbakkam* Minister R S Rajakannappan: Overseeing Royapuram* School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi: In charge of Arumbakkam, Villivakkam, Anna Nagar, Ambattur, and K K NagarFurthermore, Industry Minister T R B Raaja has been tasked with gathering information related to flood-affected people from television and social media, coordinating necessary assistance, and participating in rescue operations. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister KKSSR Ramachandran is overseeing flood-affected areas at the state emergency operations centre, issuing directives to officials for rescue work and addressing public complaints.Ministers M Mathiventhan and MP KRN Rajesh Kuman are designated for Tiruvottiyur. The chief minister's directive aims to streamline efforts for effective rescue and relief in the flood-affected regions.
