Child goes missing from Kilpauk hospital

CHENNAI: An 18-month-old girl went missing from Kilpauk Medical College Hospital (KMCH) atearly morning on Monday ,whileher father was asleep beside her . Rajesh Kannan woke up at 3am to feed his daughter Priyadarshini . As the child was in deep slumber , he went back to sleep . When he woke up a half an hour later , he found the child missing . Rajesh's wife Selvi had been admitted to the KMCH for delivery and she gave birth to a girl child on December 27.
As the child had some abnormality , she was kept in the incubator and the mother was admitted to the ICU. Rajesh , a resident of Tiruverkadu , stayed in the hospital along with his older daughter to take care of his wife.
Based on Rajesh's complaint , Kilpauk police registered a case and launched a search for the missing child. Special teams have been formed to nab the kidnapper .
