Aarudhra Gold Private Limited scam: Reward for information on accused

CHENNAI: Rewards have been announced for anyone who comes forward with information on the whereabouts of the five accused in the Aarudhra Gold Private Limited scam. The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has released photographs of the accused and said the details of the informants will be kept confidential.
The accused are - V Rajasekar of Villivakkam, V Usha of Mogappair, V Deepak Govind Prasad of Poonamallee, B Narayani of Thiruvallur and C Rumesh Kumar of Chengalpet.Informants can contact the police with any information regarding these people at the SP Office (EOW) 044-22504311 and the EOW Control Room 044-22504332.
EOW sleuths said a total of 1.09 lakh depositors had complained against the firm for cheating them of 2,438 crore.
Based on that complaint, a case was registered and an investigation began on May 24. The police raided the firm's offices in 37 places in nine districts.
The EOW officers also conducted searches in 57 places identified by the team in the state. So far 11 people have been arrested.
