'Two more accused identified'

CHANDIGARH: The special investigation team (SIT) of the Chandigarh police, which is probing the Healthyway immigration scam, has identified two more financiers associated with Amit Kakkar, the alleged kingpin of the scam. According to the SIT, both these financers have been operating in Haryana from the last many months.
"Till now we have managed to nab three financiers associated with Kakkar or his firm.We have identified two more and they will also be nabbed soon," said DSP Aashish Kapoor, who is heading the SIT.
The police are also looking into the bank details of all the accused. Meanwhile, on Friday another financer Joga Singh, 35, of Umri in Kurukshetra, Haryana, was apprehended. The accused is stated to be close associate of chartered accountant Varun Gupta, who is already in SIT custody.
