Chandigarh: Tree branch falls in Sec 20 school

CHANDIGARH: A big branch of a tree fell on the premises of Government Senior Secondary Girls School, Sector 20, on Tuesday, creating panic and bringing back harsh memories of the Carmel Convent School tragedy. Luckily, students were in their classrooms when the incident took place at 11am. The school has about 2,000 students and staff members in the school.
A portion of the tree fell on electricity wires, causing a power outage.Another part fell on the street outside, affecting traffic movement. Employees of the horticulture department removed the wood.
