PANCHKULA: Priya Rani, who topped the medical stream in Panchkula district, securing 464 marks out of 500, gives her parents and teachers the credit for her success. A student of Sanskriti Government Model Senior Secondary School Sector 20, Priya aspires to be a neurologist.
A resident of Sector-19, Priya said she would study hard to fulfil her dreams.

Fond of classical dance, she said her teachers worked very hard. She, on her part, used to devote 7 to 8 hours to her studies every day. Priya's father Sanjay works with a private firm in Balachoru while her mother Sangeeta is a housewife.
Sonia Arora, with 463 marks out of 500, is the commerce topper in the district. Travelling by bus from HMT Pinjore to her school in Panchkula every day, Sonia Arora finally achieved superlative results.
Sonia, a student of Sarthak Government Integrated Model Senior Secondary School Sector 12, said she would take admission in B Com. She added that her teacher Anju was her role model and his parents also helped her get success.
Aanchal, who has secured 454 marks out of 500, is the Panchkula topper in non-medical stream. She wants to be an engineer. She credits her success to her school, teachers and parents. A student of Government Girls Senior Secondary School Barwala, Aanchal said she feels proud that despite being from a rural background, she scored well in the exams and brought laurels for Barwala. Panchayat members of Barwala celebrated her success, distributing sweets.
