SII celebrates National Science Day

CHANDIGARH: On the occasion of National Science Day, it was a lesson in scientific awareness for students and visitors at the Survey of India, Sector 32, in the city on Friday. The theme of the event was ���Expanding horizons of science���, which is part of the guidelines issued by ministry of science and technology to promote science as a field of study.
The celebrations were opened by Maj Gen PN Kaul, additional surveyor general, North Western Zone, Survey of India.The day-long event saw a range of activities like video shows and display of maps and instruments to showcase different techniques related to science.
