Police summon Cong MLA Khan to join probe

CHANDIGARH: Tightening the noose around Congress MLA from Ferozepur Jhirka, the Haryana Police has asked him to join the investigations into the communal violence in Nuh on July 31. According to officials, MLA Mamman Khan has been asked to join the investigation on August 30 in connection with the Nuh violence.
Nuh SP Narendra Bijarnia said, "The investigating team has got some incriminating evidence linked to Mamman Khan." He also denied initiating any "process" against Monu Manesar, key accused in Junaid and Nasir killings in Rajasthan and for airing a video just ahead of the Brij Mandal yatra that contributed to the communal violence.
This is the second time that Mamman has landed in trouble. Last week, a woman had barged into his house, while claiming to be his wife. He has lodged a formal police complaint in the matter.
Six people, including two home guards and a cleric, were killed in the communal clashes that erupted in Nuh and its adjoining areas after a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession was attacked by a mob on July 31.
