Bhagwant Mann on Monday announced to introduce comprehensive reforms at the tehsil level to facilitate people in getting routine administrative work done in a hassle-free manner.
Chairing a meeting of Punjab Land Record Society,
Mann said all records pertaining to land must be made available online. He added land records should be made available in ,Punjabi so that people do not face any sort of inconvenience in reading them.
He asked officers concerned to ensure all records in the state are digitised. He said record rooms at state, district and sub-division levels should be maintained. Mann also said in order to bring transparency and efficiency in the working of the revenue department, registration works and office jobs will be made faceless.
In a tweet, Mann said, “We are going to make all land records online. With this, the working of tehsils will be in simple Punjabi, so that people do not face any problems in reading and writing of the records.”
The CM also reviewed computerisation projects of the revenue department and batted for its early completion. He said civil works for construction and renovation of district administrative complexes, tehsil complexes, sub-tehsil complexes and patwar workstations ust also be ensured in a time-bound manner.
