Murderer servant held

The police on Monday arrested servant Akhilesh Kumar, who had murdered his employer Shanti Devi, 65, on August 20, from his native village in Gaya district, Bihar.

PANCHKULA: The police on Monday arrested servant Akhilesh Kumar, who had murdered his employer Shanti Devi, 65, on August 20, from his native village in Gaya district, Bihar.
A team of crime branch headed by sub-inspector (SI) Harvinder Singh arrested the accused and recovered the weapon used in the crime. The district police gathered information about Akhilesh from his distant relative Raju, who works in Sirsa, Haryana.

SP (Panchkula) Maneesh Chaudhary said motive behind the murder will be clear only when the accused is interrogated. He will be brought to Panchkula on Tuesday.
Police are not ruling out the possibility of heated arguments having taken place between the domestic servant and Shanti Devi.
Akhilesh had also injured Shanti’s daughter-in-law Isha, 38, and two granddaughters Garima, 9, and Prathibha, 7.
