AMBALA: Congress MP from Rohtak Deepender Hooda reached Sirasgarh village in Mullana area of Ambala district directly from Parliament with his party’s general secretary Priyanka Gandhi's message in the program organized by Saint Niranjan Das on the 21st foundation day of Saint Guru Ravidas Dharam Asthan and 15th death anniversary of Saint Ramanand. Ambala MP Varun Chaudhary was also present with him. Paying tributes on this occasion, Hooda read Priyanka Gandhi’s message, who also bowed down at the feet of Guru Ravidas and sent her best wishes for this event with tributes to Saint Ramanand for his sacrifice.On this occasion, MP Deepender Hooda and MP Varun Chaudhary announced a grant of Rs 51 lakh from their MP fund to Saint Guru Ravidas Dharam Asthana. Last year too, MP Deepender Hooda had announced to give Rs 31.25 lakh to this place from his MP fund. Deepender Hooda said, “Previous Hooda government of Congress established a law university in Sonipat in the name of Baba Saheb (Dr BR Ambedkar), besides many welfare schemes, which were stopped by the BJP government. A university will be built in the name of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji after the formation of Congress government in Haryana.”“Today, when we go to a hospital and need blood, it is not seen which caste the blood is from. When God did not differentiate between humans, then who are we to differentiate? The ideas that he gave light to in the culture of India through his immortal couplets 600 years ago are even more relevant today than ever before,” Deepender said and added that one can move ahead in life by following the path shown by Guru Ravidas Ji and adopting his ideas.
Hooda also visited the Sherpur village of Naik Gurpreet Singh, who was martyred recently in line of his duty in the Ladakh region and paid tributes to him besides offering condolences to his family.
​Hooda went to the house of Sarabjot Singh at Dheen village in Ambala and met his parents, grandmother and other family members.
Later, he congratulated the family for the victory and their son’s achievement.
