Ambala: Two cousins from
Bihar were killed in a hit-and-run case after a speeding unidentified vehicle dashed their bicycle near Kakkar Majra village in Shahzadpur police station area of Ambala district on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Gandhi and Sita Ram of Gangti village in Barbigha police station area of Sheikhpura district in Bihar, who worked as labourers at a brick kiln here.
As per information, Gandhi had gone to meet his cousin brother Sita Ram at a brick kiln in Dhanana village.
After lunch, Sita had gone to drop Gandhi back on his bicycle when they were hit by an unidentified vehicle from behind near Kakkar Majra village on the National Highway 7, following which they fell on the ground and died.
The passers-by informed the police about the incident following which cops reached the spot and initiated an investigation. The police are scanning the CCTV cameras installed at eateries and petrol pumps in the area.
Meanwhile, both the bodies have been kept at the mortuary of the civil hospital in Naraingarh.
The police officials said the post-mortem of both bodies would be conducted after recording of their family members’ statements and completion of paperwork.
